Hot Dip Galvanizing is one of the best surface treatments for steel and iron. Hot Dip Galvanizing acts as a corrosion protection, where the surface is treated with a layer of zinc, which do not require any maintenance.
The process takes place by cleaning the steel or iron and then immersing it into liquid Zinc, which has a temperature of approx. 460 degrees C. The zinc forms a zinc oxide layer that protects the steel from rusting. Hot Dip Galvanizing is therefore often used as a rust protection for steel items that are used outdoors.
